Just to follow up in case anyone else is thinking of this........I got the windows done at Titanium finally - branch in Garaffa not far from Landmark. It took 40 minutes and the result is excellent. They did ask if I had permission from the police on the`estimara' and then they went ahead. I think there has been a police clamp down on windows - people getting it done without permission etc. It makes such a difference to the inside of the car - I wouldn't be without it. However, I am now happy, new car and the windows are done! Yeah!

If it's any help, my husband informs me that there is a branch in Al Rayyan 'village' itself, close to Papa John's pizza :)

So just to end the saga.......I go to Titanium on the Al Rayan Road and find it closed with stickers from some Ministry of something all over the doors! I know there has been a clamp down recently but really......!!!! Another Doha day!!!!

Thanks for all you replies. For your interest I have just discovered that Titanium have opened a branch just off the Al-Rayan Road - back of Qatar Foundation - go off from the fort roundabout there by the Petra restaurant. So I will be off there. There seems to be very conflicting info out there as to what you are allowed regarding the percentage of tinting. I have got the permission on the Estemara (sp??) from the police - 20QR for what it is worth. It seemed to help on my old car last time when I had to go for the annual check. All I know is that I wouldnt be without tinted windows and it is great to have a good review about Titanium which I didn't use before, but will on my new car tomorrow!! Thanks again.

Dear CSH,I went for 60% all over.On my previous car i had darker on my rear windows which was a pain when pulling out at night.I did it in May and it DID make a HUGE difference.Hubby did his car too on the same day,but with some cheaper stuff that really doesnt make the tempretature any different.Good luck,if you go after 11 am you can hang out in PizzaHut :) since that is the only decent shop in that area.

Hi CSH: You probably already know that in Qatar the driver's window and front passenger window cannot be tinted, only the back windows. On importing my car from Dubai I had to remove the tinting from the driver and front passenger windows which was a major PITA to do I can tell you! But with a medical certificate I can (pay) to have it put back on again.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation - I will go with them. When you mention Airport Road I shudder - wrong end of town for me. I think they have another branch but I bet that is Salwa - so both rubbish locations but I will bite the bullet and go for it!! What % of tinting did you go for out of interest?

Good morning, I had my car done 3 months ago and they r better than Vcool and MP Johnson which i had in 2 previous cars. They have a branch on the airport commercial road.If you are coming on the airport road and FFC is on your right drive straight till you reach the signal, take a right and they are the 4th shop to your left ( nasty parking).Good luck

I am hoping to get my car next week (but with Toyota you never know!) I want to get the windows tinted like my last one. Toyota have got some deal going with Titanium so I thought I might use them. But I don't know what they are like or where they are (looked at web page and nothing on there!) Has anyone used them recently? Or have you seen one of their three branches around town? I haven't noticed them although I'd guess one branch is on Salwa (arrrrghhh!) Any comments would be gratefully received. Thanks.
