We had a really terrible experience on Friday night, as we lost our new dog, but I just wanted to recommend Qatar Veterinary Centre on the basis of our experiences there.

We had to deal with them out of hours, and it's at times like this you really appreciate a well-equipped surgery. They were able to take blood tests there and then, which were analysed very quickly by computer, no waiting around for labs to open on Saturday or waiting for the vet to process the results, or anything like that. Between that and the ultrasound scan, we knew very quickly what we were dealing with and although I don't think anyone could have saved our dog that night, it really made me grateful that we'd gone to such a well-equipped surgery with very experienced vets.

I've not used any other vets in Qatar, but I did some research online before signing our new dog up at QVC, and I don't have any doubt at all that she got the best possible treatment (and better than we'd have got in the UK at our village vets). That gives me a lot of comfort in the circumstances.

This is their website: http://www.qatarvet.name.qa/QVC/OUR_FACILITIES.html

So sorry to hear about your dog, I've had to say goodbye to quite a few furry friends over the years and it is never easy. At least poor puppy had you to look after her at the end :(

Sorry to hear about your dog. Not the best start to your time on Doha.
