Do you have to log-in everyday or do you stay logged in? After the big site upgrade I was staying logged in permanently, but a few weeks ago that changed and now I'm forever logging in. I emailed the mods and they said 4 hours was the maximum log-in. What is everyone else getting?

There was a response to this before- basically it has been looked into and fixes have been made but they may not be working for all- please email [email protected] saying what operating system you are using and also what you are using e.g laptop, mac etc.

This is getting beyond a joke - yes, Carathop is right, as much as it is free it has got its hidden perks for EW and we are helping towards them. However, we have the benefit of a pool of information at the touch of a button .... many buttons it seems. :(

I seem to do far more reading than actually posting, so I've never noticed. However once I log in I seem to do a few replies at once and then walk away for the rest of the day/evening. Will have a closer look tomorrow....

Would have replied sooner, but like carathop I had to log in. Again. To the mods, I say: 4 hours? HA!!!! Unless 30 minutes is the new 4 hours and I missed the trend. Seriously annoying. I know it's a free site, but still - it's gotten way less user friendly since the "update."

Sorry... Had to log in! I might get an hour if I am lucky. I don't close the window ever (I use FireFox and have the site 'pinned'). I am using a Mac. And yes it was better. Clearly they have realized that they weren't getting the 'click through' for their ads from the pages that we need to troll through every time we log in and so they are booting us off to increase their views. So annoying. care

I used to stay logged in forever (as in never logged in for probably a year) but now as soon as I close down the EW window I have to relog in. Very painful. Not sure about the 4 hours cause I don't think I ever have it open that long.
