Yes Sal, depends on the company PRO a lot of the time. We came in Ramadan, so to speed things up DH did his medical stuff himself...went to Doha Clinic and did it privately for around 600 rials. Then after that it took another week and a bit to have the RP in his hand. Mine, I did the usual way and it took about a month, as I remember....What I think companies do a lot of the time is bunch several people getting their RPs together...say your DH arrived in Doha on the 1st of the month, but they have other people starting work after him, they may delay doing his RP until the others arrive, so they can all go and do their medicals at the same time...obviously, they don't wait months, but DH may not get his medical appointment for several weeks after he arrives....think my DH didn't have his appointment for about 3 weeks after he arrived, hence he did the medical himself...
