MacBooks are all dual-voltage, which means you can definitely plug them in here with no worries. You will need an adapter so they'll fit the local plugs. These can be bought here easily. For the iPhone, assuming it's an AT&T since it uses a sim. These are generally locked to AT&T, and depending on the model it can be easy or complicated to unlock. Apple sells factory unlocked ones now in the US, so maybe you can go to an Apple Store and see about trading yours in for an unlocked model.

Check the voltage on your computer's electrical connection (it may also be on the bottom of the compuer) if it shows 110~220 it means it can be used without a step down transformer, you just need an adaptor to plug it into the electrical outlet - the adaptors are easy to find here and cheap. In my experience, nearly all computers are the above but I don't have a Mac.

If we move to Doha from the States and bring our iPhones, can the sim cards be switched out so we can use them in Qatar? Also, will Apple computers work with the electric voltage? Thanks for sharing your personal experiences! Is your phone unlocked or locked to the telecoms provider in the US? Mine was locked from Orange in the UK but i got in unlocked in the M.E to be able to use it in Dubai
