Hello Everybody,

Wonder if any of you can help me? I've been having soo much trouble trying to get my internet fixed properly by Ooredoo and I really don't know what to do about it at this point. We're supposed to be on 25MB broadband and we have a fiber optic connection but we never seem to get our full speed regardless of what websites we use and we also get disconnected many many times throughout the day. I have been having trouble with my internet since October of last year and I've had about 10 different technicians come to my house but the problem doesn't ever get resolved.

Almost every single person that has come to my house has been unqualified and only know how to do an online speed test on this one website that they like to use and they say that the problem is fine. After this, they close the case so we have to contact them and wait for days for people to get back to us. I am an IT Support Technician so thankfully I have some knowledge about these issues but not enough to resolve the problem myself so unfortunately I still have to rely on Ooredoo. I try to help out where I can and I gather data to show the problem and the amount of disconnections we have had but the people tell me they have never seen this before or just ignore me completely ( I guess its because I'm a woman...)

One man came to my house and he managed to break our telephone, our TV ( which now talks in Arabic by default due to another botched attempt at fixing our internet - I have no idea how they managed it!) and our internet and physically ran out of my house in total shock at what he had done. We had another technician come to the house and they rang their colleagues and said we were trying to connect to a "strange website" when in fact it was actually the company's own website and he simply couldn't recognise it.

One man who seemed to be particularly knowledgeable had told us that the fault wasn't actually at my house but at their end as a server problem and they would get somebody to fix it but everything has grinded to a complete halt now and now we keep ringing them and getting told that they are aware of our problem and it is on their system but its been weeks and nobody has told us that anything is being done about it. The man who came to our house was having difficulties because he couldn't get his colleagues to understand what the problem was and how to fix it so it appears that he is in the same boat as us but we haven't even been able to get in contact with him again to find out if anything is going to be done to help us. We're still paying for this of course but its so bad, its practically non-existent most of the time.

Its been going on for so long that we've even had to ring up IctQatar and register a complaint about Ooredoo only to find out over a week later that they didn't register our complaint either so it appears that not even they want to help us. According to Ooredoo's online customer charter, IctQatar is the highest level you can take a complaint but our issue really hasn't been resolved and once again we get a text from Ooredoo out of the blue saying that our case has been closed because our problem has been resolved when they haven't even done any work on it.

Can anybody advise me as to how I can get this issue resolved, its a complete and utter nightmare.

I second the recommendation to tweet them, it's the only way to actually get a decent response unfortunately

Hi The best way to deal with big companies here is to voice your problem on social media...esp. Twitter. The Ooredoo Social Media team are great at getting back to you on Twitter, Instagram and you can try Facebook too. I have tried it with Vodafone and Ooredoo and got the result I wanted. Calling by phone is not the way to go, I have found. I know that not everyone uses social media, but it's the way to go these days, I'm afraid! Good luck! Hi Chizz, Thanks for the advice, I'll have to give it a try. Ooredoo promised once again that they were going to send somebody to my house yesterday but as usual, nobody turned up and we have heard nothing. I'm willing to give anything a try if it will get them to do something! :P
