There actually was an ACE Hardware store here years ago, but it closed down. Some kind of contraversey. Not sure what you're looking for specifically, but between Carrefour, Ikea, and others you should be able to locate what you need.

Your hubby & mine are from the same planet! Mine used to love Ace H/W when we lived in Dxb. It is possible to drive from Doha to Dxb (you need a visa to get through Saudi though). We've done it once and it was just too long in the car for me (approx 8hrs and horrendously boring) It works out cheaper to go on Fly Dubai and hire a car and is much quicker. <em>edited by kimmc3 on 19/06/2013</em>

the dh will be disappointed. we used to drive from muscat to dubai just for ace hardware! it is just easier to visit one store and get everything :) does anyone drive to dubai from doha? or it is that just a crazy idea?!?!

There is no Ace Hardware in Doha. Doha Festival City is eventually going to be on the bare piece of ground surrounding Ikea. I read somewhere that the project has been delayed and will only complete in 2016 (?).

Not that I'm aware of. There is a chain of hardware shops called Jotun that might have what you're after. Festival City isn't built yet, it is located next to Ikea (Al Shamal Rd, 5 mins north of Landmark)
