My daughter really likes the Ceramic Cafe in The Mall (just up from LuLu Hypermarket on the C ring) They can paint ceramic models and you can have a meal there as well. It is upstairs (haven't been for 6 months or more but I'm sure it is still there!) When you leave you can leave the painted model behind and pick it up later when it is dry and they have fired it. It makes a nice keepsake of a birthday.
My kids have always enjoyed brunching, the ice cream shops - often do ice cream cakes, and the coldstone creamery is fun. Cafe ceramic. Pool party with her new school friends with a picnic tea. Ice skating in the malls with rinks. Trip to one of the hotel beach clubs. She has a great opportunity to invite her new class, will always make her popular. Often parties in Doha end up at the Mall's with tea at Macdonalds etc - not necessarily my choice, but options are not endless in Doha. Johny Rockets is a favourite with my kids. Trip to the singing sand dunes and bbq - once you have found people to go with, or desert trip to inland sea with bbq. My kids are quite ameanable to shifting the party to a time that is better, which might work, for once term is started perhaps. Bit rambling ,I know. Good luck.
Hello Everyone! My little girl arrived in Doha a week ago and will be celebrating her 6th birthday next week before the school term starts. Back home in the UK we always made such a fuss, birthday party for classmates etc but here I have no idea what to do! Im presently battling with guilt as I don't want her to feel sad (she probably wont even be bothered, but I am!) because we aren't celebrating her birthday in the way she is used to! I would welcome ANY ideas of nice things to do......
I might even arrange a party for later in the month when she is settled at school so if anyone can think of party venues please let me know.
Thank you :O) xx
p.S Birthday cake shops?!
