Exit Permit Question

I went to immigration to get an exit permit for my housemaid (under husband's sponsorship) as she is traveling with me and the kids to the US (hubby is not traveling with us). The guy told me she did not need an exit permit as she is traveling with me (I am also under my husband's sponsorship). Is this correct? Was I misinformed? Others I have asked said they have always gotten exit permits for their maids when the husband (sponsor) is not traveling with them. Anyone know? Maybe the law recently changed? HELP!! Thanks!

you will definitely need an exit permit for your maid if your husband is not travelling with you...its qr10...in any case better to be safe than sorry!

I'd go back but don't tell them that she is travelling with you and get the exit permit. Even if it has changed recently you're more than likely to encounter an immigration officer at the airport that doesn't know about it (or they may just change the rules back). Better to be safe. It also sounds a bit strange since you aren't the actual sponsor.
