Hi All. we are about to move from Abu Dhabi to Doha later this year and are looking for a larger compound with villas and facilities. definitely want a decent sized pool, ideally squash courts and if possible coffee shop - does it exist in doha? I am planning on sending my daughter to Doha College or Doha British School so anywhere around that area would be ideal. Thanks.

There seem to be a lot of vacancies coming up at Beverly Hills Gardens 1 - many people moving out. I don't know if the villas are taken though...

Hi all. Thank you for your replies. I haven't got any place yet in school. I know how difficult that can be but hope for mid year availability! Have to start optimistic. LOL. Anyway if I don't get her a place in January, I will aim for the following September. I know Doha pretty well and know the dire traffic - joy. Thanks for your suggestions, I will check them out.

Y Village might be suitable, although a bit further out. Does Nine Pearls have a squash court? There seem to be a lot of leaving sales there so there might be vacancies.

and an older compound, very close to Doha College with a lovely pool and I think squash courts, definitely a gym and such is JBK - off salwa Rd. Some of the houses are old and can be dated, but there is a newer section as well.

I don' t know if Ain Khalid Gate has any villas open -- that's very close to DBS and not too far from Doha College. It has the facilities you described.

If your daughter is able to get into Doha College or DBS then the only large compounds I can think of with most of those facilities would be the Beverly Hills compounds, of which there a quite a few spread over Al Waab. There are also the Al Fardan Gardens compounds on that side of town (closer to DBS). Your budget would need to be around approx 16k per month. edited by kimmc3 on 24/06/2013

Does your daughter have a confirmed place at either school? They're both very sought after and many find it difficult to find a placement. That will figure in to where you will live as traffic is dire in Doha, especially so during school run times. Once you determine where your daughter will be going to school, then you can cast around for compounds that meet your criteria.
