Hi ladies
Looking for advice please ???
My husband has been offered a job starting in Jan building the metro line
We are unsure what to do
Long post alert !!!

We are from the uk lived in Perth Australia for 4 years went back to the uk last year and in August moved to Sydney ( yes we get around )
We have two children 6 and 7 so need advice on is it a good move for family's school recommendations, procedure cost areas to live ect cost of living

And generally your experiences would you do it again ? I understand everyone's experience is different especially if they have living in other areas before you can compare ( we do Sydney and Perth )

I'm totally torn as just made the move to Sydney and just settling, but it's an amazing opportunity for my husband our kids are really well adjusted so I know they will embrace the opportunity , but we will have to give up our family pet as Iv read Staffordshire bull terriers are not permitted is this correct ? They will be heart broken

Initially the company will put my husband up in a hotel we will stay until the end of Jan ( oz school holidays) then we will move in March after the probation period is over

Hope you all can help me
As long as we are together I can make anything work I embrace new experiences but Iv got something holding me back on this move but don't know what ? I think it's a guilt thing up routing the kids again and stressing about schools
Advice would be greatly appreciated ??

Hello! We moved here nearly 3 years ago and love it. Doha College has a primary campus in West Bay but please please apply NOW. The deadline for September is fast approaching and you will be upset if you miss it. Entry is competitive but there are a variety of years with spaces due to the oil company layoffs so it is worth the process. Other schools with UK curriculum are Compass, Doha English Speaking School, Sherborne and Doha British School. Good luck!

We moved here from the UK just over a year ago and we love it. It was purely for work reasons we moved and as its just 2 of us and a dog we didn't have children to consider but most people here who I know with kids think the lifestyle for children is pretty good. Yes, finding schools can be difficult but children grow up with lots of other children from different cultures and its very safe for them. We like being outdoors and this is possible for at least 6 months of the year, yes it is much harder in the middle of summer but most people travel for a few weeks to avoid the heat. In terms of your dog - our dog has adjusted well, we used Qatar Vet centre to help with the relocation who were very good. He is a mixed breed with a bit of staffy and it wasnt a problem but they should be able to advise. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. That's great about you dog X ? did you say their was Staffy in her ? Do you need all paper work ? We have decided to go for it you only live once and we have Australian citizenship and from uk so nothing to loose really just got to embrace Sydney's busy not like Perth and we feel we are existing here where as their will open more opportunities plus 7 hours to get bk to uk for emergencies not 30 ! Any advice on areas to live villas preferably husband will into ally be staying in west Bay Area close to work any areas around their X Also are utilities payed separate as in any house or included in rent or does it depend on property ? Thank you for responding ?

Hmmm, Sydney, or Doha? - know where I would choose. If we had a ticket to Sydney, we'd be there in a flash! You've got to either need the money, or feel you'd be getting incredible experience to make up for what you would leave in Sydney. There is no comparison between the two places.
