I just did a search on picture framing in Doha and found this post. Does anyone have any updated info? I have a few sports posters that I'd like to have framed for my son's room so really just need the glass/plastic cut to size and clipped.

Just a final note to say that my prints look fab! Excellent job on the part of Studio Qatar!

I am having three prints done, two of them will cost around 450-500 and the other is more than double that (yikes) due to the expensive frame I fell in love with! Of the two very reasonably priced prints, one is roughly 28"x 16" and the other is around 24"x 14" and I am having a double mat on both with high profile frames and glass of course - so good pricing for sure. In fact, several years ago I had more than 6 paintings framed in Dubai and I would say the prices here (many years later) are comparable or even less!

HEF, what was the price range on the frames? 100-200? 200+?

Update:I ended up at Studio Qatar (because they stay open the entire day!) and they are very professional with a huge selection of frames. I took 3 prints in and they have a great set up with fantastic software that lets you see the finished product on the computer screen with your chosen frame & matt! Very cool! My pictures will not be ready for another week but the work I saw in the shop looked great! Prices are reasonable with the exception of one pricey frame I picked, but they had lots of other choices. mrvm: they do have non-reflective glass. Not sure if it is non-UV or not? I had planned to use the non-reflective but once I saw the sample piece over my print, I didn't like the slightly obscured look it gives to the picture. I am not sure if all non-reflective glass looks the same but they do have some in stock. You can get there by taking the Salwa fly over heading away from Ramada, do a u-turn at the first R/A and it is on the right side before the gas station.

Do these picture framing places have a good selection of glass? One of our prints was damaged in the move and all the glass needs replalcing (the frame is fine). Thing is, it had a special, non-reflective, non-UV type professional glass. Will I find something like this here?

Aaaah, I think that is QNB. I bank with IBQ and unless it is new, I haven't noticed one there.

Diagonally accross, in the parking lot where Chili's is. I think.

Is there an IBQ opposite the Ramada?

I went to Digiprint diagonally across from Ramada Hotel, next to IBQ. They did a lovely job.

I went to Le Cadre on Salwa Road (next to Lords Furniture) and was happy with the results. There is also Studio Qatar, also on Salwa Road, but I haven't been there.

I know I saw info here about where to go for picture framing, but my search only produced results from Dubai :( Does anyone know where to have pictures framed? Thanks! Heather
