Hi ladies, hope someone can direct me where to take my Samsonite suitcase for repair. The mechanism inside the suitcase to allow the handle to go up & down easily seems to be broken/missing on one side. A few people have mentioned the souk but don't know what shop. I can't find my receipt as the suitcase is a few years old. Any assistance would be appreciated.

We have taken our Samsonite cases to Blue Salon (Al Sadd, opp Rogers Diner...close to Red Lobster). It seems this is the "official" Samsonite repair shop. Is upstairs on the first floor. I had a wheel replaced on one case and DH had a bag repaired. Depends on what parts they have available tbh, as they had to put a dark brown wheel on my black case and DH's bag zipper didn't last long (to be fair, he had had it a long time and at least I can use my case instead of throwing it away). Not ideal service, but they hardly charged us anything - 50 rials or so - so couldn't complain. edited by chizz on 05/02/2014
