I have tried Mega Bucks, C4 and Spinneys so far but no luck! Has anybody seen them anywhere?

GinaM - I fully understand the frustration but in the end, it is survival and how much one wants to spend in blooming traffic trying to visit 2/3 supermarkets to catch the best prices, etc. What you save in riyals on the items' prices, you probably spend on petrol (not that much), time (which is not to be ignored) and meeting half a dozen suicidal drivers along the way.:( After the first couple of months, I stopped trying to understand. It is not the couple of riyals difference that bothers me but once when I was on the point of buying an item at Mega Bucks and noticed the price in £ printed on the packaging (they could not remove this one I guess, even if they tried) and they were happy to charge about 4 times, that did it for me. So I tend to go there for items that I cannot find elsewhere. But I do agree with you as I have noticed some prices there cheaper than elsewhere on occasions but they are few and far in between.

Every now and then I find something at Megabucks for less than at C4 oddly enough - they seem to muck up their prices sometimes (like for instance - smartie yoghurts...which my little one is very partial to...are sometimes QR8 at Megabucks and sometimes QR15! Can't figure out the logic there but then again this is Qatar...the land of illogical! :)

C4 is Carrefour and Mega Bucks, well it is our very own Doha Special Shop where you have a better chance of finding something that you cannot find elsewhere but it charges over the odds :(.

ccdoha, nothing to apologise about as I am pleased you've pointed me in the right direction. Simply tried to say that I am not a great fan of the raw ones and having to take beard off, etc. That, if available, would have been on the bed of ice. But the way you describe where it is displayed, almost certainly it will be what I am after, assuming nobody gets there before me :(.

Thanks ccdoha - I was simply trying to describe ones that are not raw, i.e. buy, clean, cook but already prepared and after a quick burst in the microwave is ready for eating. I have set my heart on preparing a paella and wanted some as garnish. Will head there tomorrow and hope I'll be lucky if they have not already gone.;)
