Hi,
I am in the process of relocating. Like all parents I frantically applied in all schools as we came to know about DH confirming the job a month back. For start I was thinking of putting my two kids one in Year 5 & other in year 8 in any school which have places available . I was very worried for my son who is in secondary now. Both my children gave the overseas tests , for Doha College and Sherborne. My daughter was in wait list in Sherborne but my son got through. Although my daughter got in DC, West Bay . I was thrilled but very worried considering the traffic scene in Doha. Like stars took mercy on me....Yesterday, I got an offer email from DC for my son as well but of course in Waab campus.
Cutting the long story short....I would like any advise for housing in an area which would be of easy commute between the two campuses of DC.
Looking ffwd for inputs of good compound villas in an area which will be easy for commute in the traffic. The school said for transfer of my DD from West bay to waab campus it would take some time. I guess for a year I have to adjust.

Highly appreciate any inputs . Thank You very much.

Ash.

I think Beverly Hills Garden 1 is very nice, Al Fardan Gardens 5 is also nice (it's a bit further out) and Y Village is nice (it's by Al Fardan Gardens), but there are others closer to Beverly Hills Garden 1 that are also nice, I just can't remember the names of them right now. You can also go to Propertyfinder.qa and run a search and start calling some of the other compounds or real estate agencies, if you want to go that route... good luck!

Hello I think you probably just want to just settle and find a place close to DC's Al Waab campus, if eventually both of your kids will end up there. I would think that DC has bus stops around Doha, so your son could take a bus to and from school, in the meantime. Will anyone in your family be commuting to West Bay for work? It's possible you could drop him off in the morning and he could take a bus home... it's also possible you'll find other families in your compound or at school who you can carpool with.
