Hi, Ladies,
Happy New Year!

I am new here and I am very interested for reviews about this school, as it is in our range of price and living area. Also, I would like to have an opinion what is better AD International School or Cambridge High School? For me is needed for Gr 8 and Gr.5. Thank you! Have a nice day!

Much appreciate for taking time to reply! We are european and my children never studied in our homecountry, since we were expats in different countries and they studied only in american curriculum. This is why I am worried about the exams I read here. Our budget here is not too big and the "better" schools are bit too expensive. Also I am thinking to change the curriculum from IB to british since my daughter would like to study medicine in the future. Very difficult decision for me with such a small amount... ib is also at raha school too, dont know the price though. then go for cambridge high school, its fine obviously its out in mussafah res area tho. they do have buses

i know people that were in ad international and although it was a cheaper option being their are muslim they did quite like the approach, they have since changed to yasmina, brit school mainly because its on their doorstep, and they are too fussed with some of the british ness/ways etc. cambridge is gems sch but brit curriculum. i am from the uk so i would have to go with the british system, but if your kids are young and in primary school etc it doesnt really matter too much if its british or american its only when they get into secondary that it becomes more of a problem. which curriculum will you need in the future?

Thank you busybee2! I have read on the site of AD Intl School that there is American Curriculum and British Curriculum also, starting grade 9. The student can choose. Would be useful for me to know about teachers, quality of teaching, approach, homework, communication with parents, facilities because there are not too many pictures on their sites, even not many feedbacks for both of the schools. Is there a rote learning or an experimental and logical one? Why they have exams during the school year (it is not our first contact with american curriculum and never we met such exams!!!)? What kind of exams? AD Intl School could be prefered for us because it is located not too far from our home, but the manner of teaching and qualified teachers will make the decision. If you would be in my shoes, what school would you prefer for this grades? I'm asking you because I read many of your posts about schools and it seems that you understand what I am looking for. Thank you!

it depends they are different schools and they are in different areas. ad international is in town i think and the cambridge hs is in mussafah. cambridge is part of gems and is brit curriculum, whereby ad international isnt brit and is more arabic students and are separated i think too.
