On the same subject of dance a have a couple of questions:

1- Where can I get a free standing or portable ballet barre?

2- Has anyone tried ordering dance wear online and have it mailed to the UAE? Any problems with customs? (I went to a couple of local links and they seem to offer dance wear for children only)

Any ideas?

Regarding ordering dancewear online, I know Dance Shop UAE offer adult leotards and shoes as well. They are only available by ordering directly with them. Have a look at their website www.danceshopuae.com You should be able to email them from there and request whatever it is that you need. Good luck!! Thank for the info. I was looking for a portable barre though but ordering online has given me an idea!

Abu Dhabi Dance ( www.abudhabidance.com) have a brilliant adult ballet class 11am every Wednesday. Teacher is brilliant and it is a really enjoyable class. The class is starting back on 20 April due to school holidays etc. Give it a try. Thank you! I'll have to get a part time nanny to keep my kid entertained while I'm in class ;) I wish they had classes in the evenings. <em>edited by eli19 on 28/03/2011</em>
