Hello, does anyone know when Al Muna and The Pearl (Aldar schools) generally let people know whether their child has a place in the school? Have a friend whose child is on the wait list at both schools (FS2), and she's getting anxious (has been on the wait list since February). As I understand it schools have just recently sent letters to parents asking whether they intend their child to remain at the school, so they should know numbers fairly soon? Any info greatly appreciated - quite stressful for my friend! Thanks.
with all schools here they dont know the exact numbers of people that will leave, so they really havent got an idea on how many places are available. all the schools here at this time, write to the parents to guage an idea if someone is leaving, but quite often people dont tell them until much nearer the end of term if there plans are not definate, and some people just dont come back after summer break, you may find that sometimes you do not get a place until a few days before the school is due to start..... unfortunately thats the way it is here. just have to be patient. if you are going in to fs1 then of course they will offer the places earlier as they know they have x amount etc as its the beginning of the curriculum, its the same with the sixth form they cannot say that everyone will make the grades and stay on until the results come out.
