I am moving to Abu Dhabi in November this year and am thinking about searching for a flat in Al Raha Beach Area. Any comments about Al Raha Beach Area? I was there and have the impression that there is still much under construction. Anyone living there right now, who could give feedback?
What about shopping facilities and Nurseries near by.
Any advise or comments are welcome.

Thanks Busybee2. The information is highly appreciated! We have a nice housing allocation, so we could afford a nice place in this area. Not sure if you have any info about nurseries. I am searching for a place on the city, as we will work in Corniche area. Unfortunately, it seems that most of the places are fully booked. I got only positive feedback for 3 nurseries: Educare (former Gymboree) and LitteGems. Do you have any reference about these 2 specific nurseries? Any info would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance Andrea the most popular nurseries are bright beginnings, humpty dumpty, little gems, jigsaw, stepping stones. 2 locations in town for BB, 2 locations in kca and town for HD, 4 locations for SS, Kca, BtB, Karama and Bateen. Little gems in kca, Jigsaw have 1 in karama, and Mbz.. I have put them in my preference, but then these may all have waitings lists especially BB. others: educare is fine, there is also britishorchard, giggles. if you are going to be working in corniche area, then why not try and find a place there, commuting up and down that road is no fun at rush hours.

Thanks in advance Andrea it still has some infrastructure construction and they are still building more buildings too, but for abu dhabi its not that bad. shopping there is a few places now in raha beach like spinneys but you can go across the main road to etihad plaza and khalifa city a for a little bit more. nurseries will all be across the road in kca.
