Hi Everyone,

We are planning to move to Abu Dhabi from Dubai by Jun-Jul this year. Looking at all the different areas we feel Reem Island would be a great choice considering I have two toddlers and not many people we know in AUH. My kids are 2 and 6 yo. Could you all recommend some good buildings to look at with decent facilities - swimming pool, play area, accessibility to grocery stores, etc.

I'll be moving to Abu Dhabi in October. I'll be by myself. I am wondering if you can advise the safest but reasonably priced areas? I want a villa with a small backyard. I am also hoping to bring my dog (once I get settled in). Is having a dog frowned upon? He is quite large but very friendly and I'd hate something to happen to him. Looking forward to coming over! Also - My partner will stay in Melbourne which we are hoping to ensure we see each other regularly; I noticed there are a lot of opportunities to take time off work - is that true? So many questions!!

Hi all, I used to live in Sun tower and I LOVED IT !! You have all the facilities just downstairs and can make your grocery from Waitrose and bring the trolley all the way to your apartment (and then you have to bring it back of course lol).. Great atmosphere, pple are very friendly..

Hi, In Reem Island, I live in Gate Tower. The outdoor facilities are great, very green, with 3 pools, play areas, tennis court, basket, squash, 4 gym, a movie theater... I like this place. The only big bad point for me is you can not open the windows. There is an indoor bridge to go to Sun & Sky Towers where there is a supermarket and a food court, hairdresser, salon. Sun & Sky towers are good apartments and facilities too. The outdoors one are just without trees or grass. Not far from there, there are Beach Towers with great balconies and a small grocery shop but a tiny swimming pole. I do not recommand Mangrove apartments (just in front of Sky Towers), the facilities are bad and the apartment I visited as well. An other good point is that in front of Sun&Sky, there is often a lot of taxi and 2 bus lines begin there. Good Luck for your search!
