Hi...I'm in a bit of a conundrum and would really appreciate all advice and feedback. My daughter has been studying for a year at Al Yasmina Academy (Year 9) and is very well settled and doing quite well there academically. Before we enrolled her at Al Yasmina last year we had applied to BSAK as our first choice but there weren't any spots available which is why we opted for Al Yasmina. In the upcoming academic year my daughter will be in Year 10 and we have now been offered a place for her at BSAK. I am happy to move her to BSAK as my understanding is that academically BSAK students tend to do better at GCSEs. As my daughter moves to Year 10 next year and begins the 2 year GCSE syllabus it is preferable to move her this year rather than the next.
I would really like some feedback on 2 areas of concern that I have for Al Yasmina vs. BSAK for secondary school - (1) Bullying and general discipline (2) achievement of high grades in GCSE results and academic standards
I would be really grateful to hear from anyone who has moved their kids due to any of the above reasons from either of these schools as that would help me in making my decision in whether to move my daughter to BSAK or keep her in Al Yasmina. Thank you!
