Found the flight we want on Travelocity almost half the price compared with booking direct with airline. Is there any catches I should be aware of? The airline is Air France, are they OK?

Thank you!

KLM are great, Air 'Chance' are horrendous (particularly for losing luggage) then there's the trauma of CDG if you travel AF as that is the worst airport to navigate EVER, whereas Schipol is very good. The ONLY good thing about my AF trips have been the warm mini french bread rolls, yum!! :)

Quite possibly, I can vaguely remember hearing that AF was not that great but I think that was around when they were about to go bust. I have only travelled on their flights since they merged with KLM but I had travelled on KLM flights before that point and I have to say, they were fabulous. The staff onboard were so nice and very helpful...but then again I am usually traveling with DS on my own so...much better than the service from AC I was use to getting. Now that is a horrible airline...staff, service and the works. One year DH travelled on their flights 6 times in as many weeks and they lost his luggage 5 of the 6 times.

I always book my flights with travelocity and/or expedia and never have any problems. I have also travelled with Air France/ KLM and have never had any problems with luggage or anything of the sort, actually find them quite good. they may have gotten better now klm and france have merged.

Thank you! air france are ok, but if you are booking through travelocity is usually out of the uae. if for eg you book through them for a hotel room, you are getting a non resident rate which will be different and the hotel can ask for your passport which will show that you are a resident and so charge you the proper rate. dont know about airlines tho. air france is part of klm never travelled on air france but klm in the past were always the ones that would loose your luggage. I was only going to book the flight and source the accommodation separately. Nervous about booking with Air France now as it is non stop on the way over but 1 stop on the way back (with KLM). Chances are they could lose the luggage? Really wanted to go Emirates but they are $$$ dunno about the luggage my mum has just travelled with them a few times and no probs, but out of all the carriers they were always loosing stuff. what i mean is that if you pay with an uae credit card for eg and not go through direct, i know that this has caused problems with accommodation before but dont know about flights etc as i said before.
