Thank you busy bee. I am a GP myself and on a short trip to AUH, I was made to realise that the GP model we have in the UK doesnt really exist there. I shall be taking a break to settle in with my little ones and then look for work ( maybe). Shall see how it goes. I would like to work part time.. then again apparently part time work isnt really a done thing in the UAE unlike the UK where most Gps do not work more than 4 days a week.
Regards
gps working 4 days a week, here its very very very different. i would look at mculloughs clinic they may well be more flexible on hours etc, but otherwise it would be a big hospital/organisation etc and then you will have no control over hours etc and it will be different times of day it definately wont be part time, they dont do part time, and it wont work around school etc. the other thing would be to look at being a nurse at a school, the school nurse at bsak is leaving so there is an opportunity there if not already filled but then you will also need to get a haad licence, and that can take a very long time.
