one i will say if you have just arrived and there is a spot available now then take it, the rules are that anybody who is enrolled in a school in the uae now cannot swap schools until the next academic year, so that means if there is a spot in bsak for eg and a child from yasmina is on the waiting list to take that spot, they cannot if already in school, that spot can be taken by someone outside of the country. but then you will more than not get a spot in september because of the applications process already been allocated. schools do not like to take people in the last term, but if there are places available, which people do leave then those places will either be filled from people from outside the country or they will be empty etc. hope i make sense so no harm in asking all the schools for enrolment now.

nil i would say. they are usually well oversubscribed, but it does depend on the year group which you havent mentioned, the older the years the easier it is. more information is required to give you a proper judgement. you should talk to the school in anyways, as you have to be in it to win it. but there are now other options for you, in the past it was only bsak and that was it, if you couldnt get in there you had to leave!!! the aldar schools are good as well, but again they have the same issues, there are too many people for the spaces available in abu dhabi.
