Cancellation of maid visa
Hi ladies, hope you can help. We have decided not to renew our filipino maids visa due to having a lot of problems with her, she has asked for the opportunity to find another job rather than send her home which we have agreed to providing I am not asked for references because I am not going to lie. Her visa expires in 2 weeks and so far she does not have a job, she has asked that we just cancel her visa and she will stay with 'friends' - I don't believe this is possible, can anyone verify whether we can cancel and for her to remain in the country under a tourist visa and be no longer our responsibility? Or does her new sponsor have to be there on cancellation.
Dnrd website is unclear and if I have to book a flight I would rather do this now than the day before when flights cost a fortune!
