this has been asked so many times, as my hubs did it years ago, and i always recommend that the commute is just too much, he had to do it on the old road, which then took 3 hours to go from abu dhabi to the border... let alone further into dubai. anyways there really isnt anywhere thats cheap, you need to look at the perhaps the mafraq hotel, or the tulip inn or even holiday inn in town. remember letting out rooms are illegal, you are not allowed to have people living in accommodation unless of the same family etc. also its considered sub letting unless of course you find someone who owns the property. the other place to look at is the new apartments etc at al reef when they are finished. <em>edited by busybee2 on 28/01/2011</em>
