Is it legal to employ a cleaning lady that is sponsored by her husband? I have heard that I just need to apply for a labour card for her - does anyone know anything about this? I really want to follow the correct channels.

no, only allowed to sponsor yourself or through an agency. yes a person on a husbands visa can work for someone else with a labour card, but maids etc do not come under the labour law its a different laws for them.
