Hi
I have applied for places for my children at BC, can anyone please tell me which compounds are closest to this school/area. We need 4 bed and have a max of 195000AED per year to spend on housing.
Any good areas/areas to particularly avoid?
Don't need a private pool but would need a maids room (separate to the main house, not within), and would like a shared pool or use of a beach plus childrens play area if thats possible.
Have been looking on Dubizzle.com, some lovely places on there, any other recommendations please for housing websites?

i wish they would amend their website to correctly say where the location of the school is, its not between the 2 bridges area, its actually Al Matar or even Khalifa Park area. Between the 2 bridges area is as the name states between the Mussafah Bridge and Mataq bridge (it really should be between the bridges as the new Sh. Zayed bridge is there too) which is further along the road.

Abudhabired, we are also moving to Raha Gardens in a couple of weeks and my daughter will start Reception class at BCAD in September. Would love to get the kids together before the start of the school year, if you're interested. Looking forward to living in ARG! edited by Canarino on 24/06/2011 edited by Canarino on 24/06/2011

Hey BB, What round about is really busy in KCA? I am so enjoying living here and haven't noticed the traffic ever really too bad (other than in RIS school itself, ****** nightmare!). I think the roads cater for peak times well. It will be better when there is an entry from the Abu Dhabi/Dubai Rd into KCA that doesn't go past the golf club (speedhumps drive me mad!). The lack of footpaths is not very pedestrian friendly here I agree. Not so pleasant walking the dogs but other than that, mostly all good. xx the r/a i am talking about is if you are coming off 30th st, when you come off the main road its a nitemare as there is one feeder lane, with 2 lanes of traffic pushing their way in, and then when you come over the bridge to the first r/a on blue 16th thats pretty busy in the rush hour times too. if you come off channel st then its just a bit of a tail back sometimes at the new t junction etc and then over the many speed bumps. there is no more entrances from channel st just at the golf club or all the way along up at the airport turn off. yes no pavements in kca but there are pavements in kcb, it really makes a difference for one when you have pavements you have drains and so kcb does not flood when it rains, and that made a real difference in the last couple of years, kca flooded really badly. ris r/a is another one whereby the "mums" really do not follow the road rules!

Hi EnglishJacki I live in Raha and its great. It is about 15 mins door to door from BC. My 4 year old starts there in September. We have a 4 bed townhouse and you should get one of these for your budget, also a 3 bedtown house and a 3 bed villa. At the open evening a couple of weeks ago they told us that there will be a bus service offered to all areas of Abu Dhabi as far out as Al Reef as well. They also said they were going to offer a bus service for younger children which would be a door to door bus service. Hope this helps.

Hello, propertyfinder, Abu Dhabi is a good site for real estate. We were looking only a couple of months ago for properties and were considering properties around the area of Brighton College. I think your budget for a 4 bedroom may not stretch to what is available there. Khalifa City A (where we have decided to live) is not too far away and so much cheaper. You could find something nice here for that money. The school will more than likely have a bus service which could save the drive for you. Check out property finder and look what is available for your money in Khalifa City A. Happy hunting. not all schools do a bus service, and even if they do, like the new ones for aldar they are central pick up points ie not like the local schools where they pick you up from your front door. other areas to look at then are raha gardens (expensive cooled water and roads very small), sas al nakheel (close to power lines and sinking streets), mohd. bin zayed city (nice places but can be close to labour camps), khalifa city a (this is getting very very busy if you are coming off the main 30th st there is one junction too many cars, and the roundabout is very very busy too now only 1 way in for a lot of folk as now loads of schs there), khalifa city b (this is better now than before as there are pavements so when you get a sand storm most of it stays on the ground, also they now have street lights, and drains which are good when it rains at the moment no shops though but a big mall is due to open 5 mins away with loads of shops/cinemas/car4 etc), al reef (this is quite a way and next door to the airport runway)

Thank you very much, i can now have a look at these compounds online for a better idea. I hate not knowing exactly where i'll be so want to get as much of the groundwork done as possible now! My husband likes the look of al raha villas, do you happen to know please if this is anywhere near?

bloom gardens is right where the school will be but they are not finished yet, there are loads of compounds up along there, al gurm or 87 villas, al reef (next to car4), al nayhan camp area, sorry not sure of the exact names of others but just around the school area there must be 4 compounds and there are more being built. for apartments there is the apartments at khalifa park, again within walking distance of bloom gardens etc.
