Is it compulsory to open a file in Corniche Hospital while being pregnant even though file is opened in Burjeel Hospital ? I have heard Corniche Hospital takes in Emergency cases from all other Hospitals as they have best equipments and even if file is opened elsewhere they would rush pregnant woman to Corniche for emergency cases?

It's not compulsory but some private doctors will recommend you have a file there. In the unlikely and unfortunate event you had to go there in an emergency if you don't have a file there you will not be given priority. I have heard cases where the baby is kept there and the mother is sent to another hospital. I'm sure that's not the norm but it is an outside possibility. Most of my mummy friends in AD opened a file there ( me included) although lots chose to deliver elsewhere.
