I purchased a Dyson DC59 animal vacum after researching it and now I am not sure what to think. The online info says that it does carpets and I specifically asked the clerk at Ace if it does carpets and he said it did. While I love it on hard floors, the vacum does not want to move on carpets, I can pull it toward me but cannot seem to push it away from me. I don't see a button on it to change it from hard floor to carpet. Am I missing something. If I want to take it back because of this, I am afraid that they give me a refund. Any help from you Dyson ladies would be wonderful.

Look down towards the right side of the vacuum base to locate the level adjustment switch on the vacuum. This switch will be labeled with two different settings: "bare floors" and "carpets."
