Thank you Hansue for your reply, much appreciated. I checked Brighton college and liked it, but it is very expensive. I am worried about my older daughter who is in year 7, I am not sure whether those schools provide separate sciences from year 7, and also if their GCSE and A Level results are good? How do the children cope with the change? And is the pastoral care is good?

Brighton College has great reviews. way out of our price range but did go there for their gingerbread house event and the school looks lovely and the student work that was on display was incredible. Al Ain International schooll has great reviews I know a few of the teachers there and have had friends that sent their children there all have been very happy. Al Ain English Speaking - use to be the school that all British expats wanted to attend with the addition of the above mentioned schools haven't heard as much about this one lately.

Until recently Al Ain English Speaking School was the only choice for most, although a few sent their children to Choueifat. It is a 3-18 school. However last year Aldar opened Al Ain International School - at the moment only to yr 6, but I think they plan to go up to Seniors. Brighton College are planning to open next year - if they open in the same way they did in Abu Dhabi, they will begin with FS1 and go up to yr 9, adding a year group each year thereafter to yr 13. I think all these schools are British Curric, def not US - some may be IB. Most americans used to send their kids to AAESS.
