Hi
I wanted to take my parents for a tour round Emirates Palace, so phoned to try and find out if i need a reservation etc. I've booked a tour for us next weekend at 100dhs. Has anyone else done this?
Is that the norm or can we go and have a look around ourselves without having to pay? Are there places to have coffee etc or do you need to make a reservation?
The lady wasn't very helpful, and i'm more than happy to pay but i just wanted to check we weren't paying for something we could just do ourselves!
Any advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks

I cannot think of the name of the restaurant but we have eaten there several times. They have a spectacular buffet and last time we ate at the Meat Co my husband commented that it was more expensive than the meal at Emirates Palace. We always take visitors there for a special treat. We have never booked ahead either but I have heard people complain they have been turned away at the door without a booking. Found it, this is the one we have been to. Le Vendôme Brasserie Enliven the taste buds at “Le Vendome Brasserie” offering a commingling of exotic flavors with our renown International Buffet / A’ La Carte menu. Le Vendôme Brasserie offers elegant indoor (70 seats) & outdoor (65 seats) dining options for your dining pleasure. The restaurant is located on lobby level (4th floor) of the Palace with an extensive terrace overlooking the beach & marina. Opening Hours are as followed: Breakfast: From 06:30 AM to 11:00 AM Lunch: From 12:30 PM to 15:30 PM Dinner: From 18:00 PM to 23:00 PM Brunch: Each Friday from 12:30 PM to 15:30 PM We ate there a few weeks ago for the first time. The buffet was amazing......fantastic food and so much to choose from. Planning to go back soon and take parents there when they arrive in a few weeks.

Hey Teeny, We went 2yrs ago and didn't have to pay in. There was a seating area where you could order coffee and food, not sure what was on the menu. Things may have changed now with rerards to paying in. Let me know as I plan to take my MIL there in a couple of weeks.
