Thank you very much busybee2 for the reply. our 2 children are still under 3 only that we are planning ahead. so it means the most suitable place will be kcb. with the budget of 130,000 what type of accommodation will be looking into (villa or apartment).

a lot of mafraq employees live in kcb as its not far, i can actually see it from where i live, and also if you are close to the bus route 150 which comes down the main route blue 40 the bus actually goes to mafraq hospital too.

Hi Ladies, where is the best place to live for someone coming to work at mafraq hospital. somewhere near the hospital but have shopping area, british school etc. we are a family of 4 with a housing allowance of 130,000. nearest areas to mafraq hospital, is kcb then you have mohd. bin zayed across the main e22 other areas to try would be kca but its much more expensive, and the housing is much more squashed in, but its more popular because it now has banks and shops and nurseries, but saying that its now very very busy compared to when i lived there before anybody would venture off the island over the bridges without a passport many years ago when it had nothing there. if you look at kcb there are no shops yet but they will be built within the next 2 years along with parks etc, but opposite side of the highway is a couple of supermarkets and 5 mins drive opp mafraq hospital there is the new big baniyas mall where there is all the things you need. if you look at mbz then there is mazyad mall and meant to have been opening january the new capital mall. for your budget of 130 thats the two places i would start to look, if you were to look at kca then you would need to start at looking at more like 150 and upwards. british schools if you were to live in kcb or mbz then look at bisad its just behind ad university, if you were to be in kca then there is yasmina school, but you are more likely to get into bisad now than yasmina. are you looking for now or september start? if there are places in schools now and you are coming from overseas you will actually jump the queue if places become available within this term, they dont like to enroll during the summer term usually, but the rule within the uae is that kids enrolled in school now cannot now move until new academic year.
