Hello,

I purchased a car earlier this year and the dealership threw in one year's insurance/registration. I have an insurance card but no idea what my policy is/what it covers/who it's with. Any idea how to find out?

I've tried calling the dealership but I haven't heard back yet. It's nothing urgent, but I am curious.

Thanks :)

On your card there should be the policy number plus the name of the insurance company. I suggest you telephone the insurance company directly and ask. You certainly need to know whether you policy cover includes Oman or not as some driving here actually passes through Oman in places. eg driving to Hatta Springs.

It's a Hyundai. I can't go to the dealership for the next few days, but if I can't get them on the phone or figure it out before then, I'll go there and try. Thank you. (Edited to add: Since so many dealerships offer 1 year free insurance with a new car, I thought maybe there was a standard insurance that was given.) edited by humidhair on 17/07/2013

what car, they usually provide with the name of the insurance etc. go back and just ask at the showroom. you will need to know it in case of accident etc.
