cairo textiles green sign khalifa st, opp end old al noor, near to "new souq". they never have egyptian cotton though, but they have the best selection in town, there are loads of other material shops around that area and madinet zayed. the new souq was the textile souq in the days before it burnt down and they all moved over to madinet zayed areas.

Hello, I am looking for fabric preferably cotton or flannel suitable for personal undergarments. I went to Lulu's and the cotton they have is rather plain, no prints or florals or anything, very stiff and thin looking. Does anyone know where I can find quality cotton, or flannel in AD? Forgot to say I am also looking for a second hand sewing machine. I left mine in the UK. <em>edited by eli19 on 26/08/2011</em>
