Maid employment visa medical stamp?
Hello my husband and I and our two children live in Dubai but my husband's head office is based in Abu Dhabi. We found a maid who came to Dubai on a tourist visa and when that run out on the 1st of December we sent her back to Sri Lanka so that we could process her visa to work for us. It took over a week to get the medical certificate back from her which we now have and when my husband went to the government offices in Abu Dhabi yesterday they asked him to get the medical certificate stamped by a reputable maid agency. Our maid's husband has looked into this and an agency will do it for 1500 dirhams but my husband is reluctant to do it: I don't know why. I think he wonders if that is really what they want us to do and if that means the agency has anything to do with our maid once they have stamped it. We are completely stumped as to what to do and why they are asking for this. Has anyone come across this? Thanks.
