Hi all!!

I'm moving this week to Abu Dhabi and am having mixed feelings...I am 24 and and am moving for work reasons however it is a very daunting step particularly as i am not married. I hope that I can get to know some nice people on here and look forward to getting to know some of you and attending social events..

I will also be looking to rent accommodation as of next month and so am looking for a flat mate not far from the Marina Mall where possible. Please let me now if you're interested or know of anyone that may be.

Hi there. I'm 25yrs old and have been here 2months now =) About to start work in a few weeks, just processing my visa. I'll only be working until early afternoon most weeks but I also have kids so need to arrange outings in advance most times =P I only know my in-laws and haven't really been out much so I'm also a newbie to AD. I live about 20mins drive from Marina mall (or approx 13DHS each way in a taxi since I don't actually drive lol). Hoping to get out more once I have a stable income =)

I'm a little worried because the company I'll be working for has a very small office in Abu Dhabi and only one female working there so it will be difficult to get to know people through work maybe?! I will be very close to Marina Mall so at least I will get lots of retail therapy where necessary!! It would be really nice to get to know some people over coffee or something..

Hey Falafel, There are lots of single girls here, don't worry. I was when I arrived in AD (and you never know I may be again soon, lol!) We have a group of ladies that go out for ladies nights (which is free drinks all night for Ladies!) regularly. It is a bit daunting in the beginning but once you are working and get into the swing of things I am sure you will be fine, there is plenty of fun to be had in AD. Feel free to get in touch. :) P.S I am 27 and from the UK, and I moved here 5 years ago as a single gal (3.5 years in Dubai and 1..5 years in AD) <em>edited by BellaUK on 27/11/2011</em>
