Hi all, moving to AD at the end of April, hubby is out there already and looking at houses, we've seen a nice house in Khalifa a, but have heard aircraft noise can be a bit of a problem? Has anyone lived/living in this area, experienced this, does it depend where in Khalifa, areas to avoid?

I live in Khalifa A... close to Raha Gardens and haven't noticed any problem with the noise. I guess it's where you are located. I think only very specific spots have a noise problem.

yes it depends on where you are.. in raha beach you are right under the flight plan.... and they do circle around kca... but it will be dependant on areas.. i used to live up there but in the cricket stadium sector no noise, but a few years ago when the airport wasnt as busy or kca for that matter.... go and stand outside of an evening/1am then you will see if the planes go over... or look on flight tracker etc.. they do circle around and then go over kcc and kcb over baniyas/shawamekh and finally over al fahal to land.. but depending on the runway it depends which way they come in... normally they land over the land and exit over the sea.
