Hi we are moving to AD in the near future and are looking rather late I know at schools. Our children currently attend the Nord Anglia school in Qatar and I have been informed that there is a Nord Anglia school in AD - British International School? I have a slight concern that it was ranked in Band B of the Education Councils list of school - does anyone have any experience they can give me on this school - do I need to pay attention to the ranking system? Thanks bisad yes thats right... dont worry about it, its not one of the very top schools but its a close second they had issues when opening with the senior years and staff which i believe has been resolved as they have been open a few years now, and even the top brit schs in auh didnt get the top rating this is because of the poor standard of arabic teaching in auh..... if thats the place you have gotten admission then you can only take it and move when another place becomes available next year or whatever. unfortunately you dont necssarily have the luxury of being able to choose which school, the school will "choose" you etc out of what is available at that time. in order to get any chance of getting into the top schs you have to apply on their admission dates way back at the beg of year to stand a slim chance especially for the younger years a bit easier for the older ones etc.
