Hello, I will be moving to Abu Dhabi in a month's time and would like to hire a personal assistant to help with the relocation (e.g. assisting with setting up the apartment including sourcing of white goods and furniture, arranging transport, taking deliveries, setting up the internet and other miscellaneous tasks). Any recommendations? Thanks!

Thanks ladies! Very helpful. I hadn't appreciated that there may be legal implications with using personal assistants. I am moving in November. I think I will ask the building's caretakers to help as suggested by MrsB.

I am not sure but I doubt that would be legal here. Where are you coming from? Regarding white goods etc - all the large supermarkets etc carry a wide range from which you can choose and offer immediate delivery. Regarding accepting deliveries, etc most apt buildings have caretakers etc who are usually very reliable and helpful and, for a small fee, will arrange everything for you. I think you will have no problems setting up once you arrive.
