Hey girlies I am here in Al Ain now I moved 3 weeks ago....we should meet up :) E-mail me [email protected] I came from New Brunswick originally but last 6yrs spent in Vancouver sooo coming from there I guess :) I miss it already!
Hi Umm Khaled,
I initially came here on a work contract. I am currently at home with my son Abdulrahman. I am hoping to get back to work by the next academic year (I'm a teacher). But until then, I want to enjoy lots of mummy and baby time with my son.
Where will you be coming from?
regards,
Tina
Thank you Casta. LOL!! and to know that I've been living here for 4 years and had no idea!
I'll sign up and pass the word around.
I am really glad, as up till now I kept wondering what to do.
All the best,
Tina
Hi Tina,
There is a family playgroup called Al Ain Mums and Tots which is currently held at Sunflower School every Thursday 9 -11am. In addition other things go on which is organised via a googlegroup forum (e.g. craft activities, kids baking sessions, mini-adventure trips within Al Ain, zoo trips, picnics, coffee mornings/afternoons, parents night out).
The group is made of up of mums and dads from all continents with little ones ranging from newborn upwards. You join in as much or as little as you wish.
To join the forum and be able to contact Al Ain based parents directly send an e-mail to alain [dot'> mumsandtots [at'> gmail [dot'> com
Once you've signed up to the forum you can post away and organise playdates with other parents. They're an incredibly friendly bunch full of useful information!

Hi there,
My name is Tina and I have an eight month old son. I was wondering if there were any playgroups in the area. I know several other ladies with newborns and we were wondering if such playgroups existed in Al-Ain. If not, does anyone have experience starting one and what is involved?
Much appreciated,
Tina
