Hi, not sure if it's too late for you....but V Australia were great. We did Syd to abu dhabi on them, then swapped to Etihad for London. V Aus were easily better. Large seats, great entertainment, big toilet rooms ( especially great as I had to change baby nappies in there). I might have said that etihad were ahead on their customer service until a flight attendant told me off for using the wrong toilet (my bub needed a nappy change, and the economy toilet queue was a mile long! Not too mention she was so scared in the tiny cubicle she screamed her little lungs out!) The planes with V Aus are brand new too.
If you go on the V Australia website, you can see pictures of the cabin, with 360 degree tour. Has loads of info there.
I'm flying them to Abu Dhabi in 2 weeks, so will let you know...
Thanks for the feedback Wobbegong. I ended up booking to fly on the days that Etihad was operating the flights as I was unable to get any info from them about what the standard would be like on Virgin that they were promoting. Shame really, as should also be supporting an Australian based flyer but stuck loyally to Etihad.
I just flew on Etihad flights operated by V Australia. In economy seats are bigger and toilets are huge (think flying in the 70s). Food is about the same. If flying business, take an Etihad plane though as I think V Australia is not set up the same.
