Hello

we been here for few months and to date I cannot find a good pediatrician. My toddler (2.5) has been sick for the past three days. High fever and lack of appetite. Was thinking of taking her to Al Noor hospital tomorrow but wondering is someone could recommend a pediatrician.

Thanks

Advil is not recommended for a child with tummy upset. Especially if the child is not taking food well. Try Tylenol (paracetemol) orally or suppositories (if vomitting) until you know it is not a tummy bug maybe? If you have paediatric electrolytes (such as pedialyte) you could try a bit of this made into an iced lolly/popsicle. Best of luck.

Thanks for the response busybee2. I live in Khalifa City A so was thinking of taking her to the Airport Rd. location. No teething. throwing up the first two days but nothing today- she really is not eating much. Trying to keep her hydrated but drinking only water. I reduce fever with Advil and cold cloth on her forehead. u can alternate panadol with brufen. just go to a&e in airport road or mafraq but al noor will be quicker. if there is a fever you should always go, sometimes if you get the other symptons without fever it can sort itself out. u will need insurance card and id etc. they are very good in a&e there. i have been there when my son cut his knee on a glass that was hidden under the sand, and i have had to my friends daughter there when she was dyhdrated etc edited by busybee2 on 07/09/2013

Thanks there used to be a good one dr styles but he has left, i would take straight to al noor, which one though, airport road or khalifa if you are going to khalifa and want to see a doctor then try and see dr samia who is working at ron mcculloughs clinic 02 6262677 she is in the residential part of the old al noor. has he been vomiting or just under the weather, if has a temperature then you should take to make sure. unfortunately this is the time of year when everyone comes back from hols and brings all the nasty diseases with them..... not teething?
