Hello Ladies

May be coming to Abu Dhabi for a couple of days is there anything to do there with regard to sightseeing or must go to restaurants/bars for the views and of course decent food and are there any good womens shops?
Thanks

Hi PuppyLove2 Thank you for your reply which has given me ideas and the restaurant sounds great (not bothered about the licence). No children so we can do as we please. Looking forward to a nice mini break.

Hi Lady D, lots to do in Abu Dhabi. Firstly - the corniche, much better than Doha one. Marina Mall (opposite the Corniche) has a tall tower with a restuarant - great views over AD and the sea. Not licensed though. Can't remember its name right now, but you can't miss it! The Heritage Centre on the Marina Mall island is a touristy kind of place to visit. Has craft shops (glass blowing, weaving etc) which can be good if the crafters are in a good mood. Closed on Sundays, though. Do you have kids? For small kids, Khalifa Park - splash pool, good playground, miniature train and also an aquarium and a museum which my kids loved - you have a kind of roller coaster ride through it. If you like cars and concerts, check out Yas Island www.yasisland.ae and check what's on. There's the Grand Mosque - worth a trip, they do free tours at 10 (Arabic time) every morning except Friday and provide Abayas for you to wear. There's an organisation which used to do Kayak trips through the mangroves, Noukhada, not sure if they still do them but you could google them and find out. Hope that helps!
