My hubby and I took our children to Sir Bani Yas Island before Christmas and actually enjoyed our time there very much. Until I met a game ranger back in SA over Christmas who had worked there. He told us in summer they would dig big pits for all the Eland who were dying in their hordes during the summer months. Now I am not so impressed. The vanity of the ....let me not write his title....to have animals on his island who are not able to cope with the heat.
