I'm not necessarily looking for that kind of job that's what i do for a living here in Romania, i have a degree in economics... in order to sponsor a spouse there are rules, certain pay scales with and without accommodation etc. also it can depend on nationality too. a lot of people rush into coming over especially if on a long probation and the probation is not extended, and so you have paid out initially all the rent, house, bills, cars, furniture etc etc, so a lot of people wait until probation is over etc. once you are on a working visa then there are rules about swapping only certain professions are allowed otherwise you will get a work ban etc, so most people work under husbands visa, which means that you can usually release from a job much more easily etc. it also means that companies dont have to pay for visa costs etc, they only have to provide a labour card if under hubs sponsorship etc. so its work out cheaper, but then they may pay you a lot less.

Your husband will definitely need to sponsor you if you are here and unemployed. Once you find a job, it is most likely that you will continue you to be sponsored by your husband and your new company will issue you a labour card to work at their company. It's cheaper for the new company to do it this way and it's completely legal. I actually think it makes you more desirable as an employee as from the outset you are cheaper to employ!

Hi Ligia, A husband can sponsor a wife for as long as he is employed. With most companies, the company will pay the cost of the visa for the spouse and children (approx 6000 dhs per person) as part of the expat package. However, if for any reason the company refuses to pay this cost (depends on contract), your husband can pay it personally. I find it odd that they will only sponsor you after 6 months though, as technically you can come with him right from the start. In terms of employment, you can be sponsored by your husband and then once you get a job your new company will apply for a labour card for you so you do not need a new visa. In can't tell you what the job market is like for your line of work though. hello! thank you for your answer! i understand that the company will pay for my visa... and my husband have to sponsor me until i get a job? is that correct?
