Hi,

I don't have a driving license as yet and might start working very soon. It's a hassle to find taxi on the road daily, and it could become more problematic when its extremely hot. Are there any private taxis or other taxis in Abu Dhabi that I can book weekly or monthly???? I'm willing to pay reasonably and according to the market rate. I've heard of pink taxis and al ghazal taxis, but not sure how much they would charge and whether or not they can be booked for weekly/monthly office pick-up/drop-offs. Any suggestions????

Pink taxis are the ladies only ones that are the same as the usual RTA Dubai cabs

Check Astar Ad on facebook. He posts often in a fb group. "We provide all kind of transportation..." I haven't tried it. there are quite a few of these ads, just check that they are a legal company ie not someone doing private taxi runs etc, as they are not legal, they are not insured, and you could get into trouble, there has been a lot of police activity just recently in dxb about this.

Any suggestions???? you would need to ring up transad and they will help, there are 6 companies i think that run the taxis now, but they will be expensive, you could use one and ask the taxi for his number and see if you can work it out, but you should have a contract legally with the firm to do this. or you sponsor a driver yourself.

I use to have a few friends that all commuted to Abu Dhabi and they hired their own personal driver between them which can financially make more sense in the long run. also you will generally find colleagues in your new work that also do the commute.
