Hi everybody !

I would like to have some informations about the renew of a Visa.
We would like to hire a nanny.
She works for an emirate family since 9 years in Abu Dhabi.
Her working contract and her residency visa ending on 01st june 2013.
We would like to hire her on this date.
Could you explain us the procedure to renew her residency permit and
transfer sponsor ?
What will be the fees due ?

Thank you very much for your answers.

I think au pair here comes under the visa of governess rather than nannies or maid so it is more expensive. When my boys were babies, I had a Swiss au pair - she was great - boys started life speaking English, German, and French. Here I have Ethiopian for my daughter. They are very good with kids and are most reliable. I know many will disagree with me but this is the second one I have had and I have bee happy both times.

Hi ! Thank you very much. If we can forever ! We would like to have a nanny au pair in France too... But the procedure is complex and it's difficult to have informations because it's not a current job.... there is a lot of student au pair but not employee au pair. I contact since many days all the offices for knowing the rules... and nobody can't inform me... It's the same way here I contact immigration but they don't ask me about formalities and fees... it's why I post here ! And more than 5000 aed for only one month here it's very expensive... Thank you very much for asking to my questions.

Forever to France or just with you for the summer? Yes, whether you hire her from her home country or transfer from other family, charges are the same. The other family will give her the airfare to go home, if she chooses not to go, that is her option, but if she chooses to stay, she must be sponsored - includes new ID card, health insurance health check etc - everything Redone every year! I said, it costs a lot. I will go through my papers and find the exact amounts I paid and let you know.

Hi mrsb ! Thank you very much for your reply. Just could you give me a precision, if she doesn't go home and she stay in Abu Dhabi, it's necessary to do the entire sponsoring and pay the 5.000aed ? Because we would like to hire her for 1 month here and after, at begining of july, bring her with us in France... Thanks, Best regards, m2rx

Whether she wants to go home for vacation or not, you will have to do the entire sponsoring process - go to immigration with all your documents, visa, salary certificate, Nikah, proof of residence, passport copy, emirates ID and all her papers including photos and passport. Do the typing and pay the fee - I forget, but I think around 200/-. Once the visa has been approved, you will pay 5000/- for the visa and then collect her visa. Just before her arrival, you can submit her visa into immigration at the airport and then she can enter through immigration. Once she arrives you have, i think, one month to get her health check, to sign her contract at immigration, get her emirates ID, take out her health insurance etc otherwise you will be fined. This needs to be repeated every year you decide to renew her visa.
