Great! My husband has been sweating all day trying to collect info for our license now that our visa is on AD, and did not trust me when I told him: just let me search in the ladies' forum, if a reply exist they have it. A quick search and... voilá! I can go to sleep feeling very proud now.

Just to add, take every form of ID known to man with you in case. It may help if you have your employers NOC with you at the time too. Couldn't say for sure that you need it for the NOC from AD police, but we had it with us to be doubly sure.As usual, it may depend who you get on the day.

We would like to apply for a liquor license. so far so good. We live in Dubai, but our visas are issued in Abu Dhabi where DH works. Apparently we need to get a letter from AD police saying they do not object to us having this license, then we duly present that in Dubai and off we go. DH is having a spot of bother locating which police station does this. Can anyone help? ta. The office is in town. Head out of the city on 4th Street. Go through the lights at the junction with 15th and turn right at "Technical Scissors" shop. Then take your 1st left. You see Donner Cafe to the and Abu Dhabi Media Company right. Best to park here (if you can). The building is at the end of the block on a left turn (it's not far) in a square. CID are the last building on your right. The Liquor Licence office is on the ground floor. Good luck ;) mummyfish you are an absolute godsend! haha, not that we're desperate....thank you so much :-)
