Hi,

Was looking for recommendations for where to have my wisdom teeth extracted. My teeth are impacted so have to have them removed by an oral surgeon, not by a dentist. So will probably need to go to a hospital. I went to Burjeel and after being made to wait for ages and then being treated really rudely by their staff I don't really want to have my teeth taken out there. The surgeon also wanted to remove one tooth per procedure meaning 4 separate operations, longer recovery time and I using all my sick leave on taking my teeth out. I'd prefer to have two taken out at a time.

Has anyone had their teeth removed over here?

Thanks

SKMC probably is the best place in Abu Dhabi. But probably being the premier Hospital In Abu Dhabi, waiting time could long. Several of my friend's children and my sister had their wisdom teeth removed there and all are happy. Surgeon's name is Dr Thomas and I am told he is one of the best in Town. My sister was referred to him by the American dental Clinic

Thanks. Unfortunately the British Clinic aren't on my insurance providers list so will be unable to go there. Has anyone had any experience with SKMC?

Hi I haven't personally but one of my husbands colleagues had this done a week ago with a dentist from the British Dental Clinic on Hamdan Street and was very happy with them - said it wasn't nearly as bad as he had expected . Not sure if they have a surgeon but hopefully they could put you on to someone decent? I might need to have this done myself (putting off the inevitable) and will go to the British Dentist I have heard of a few people who have gone there for routine stuff and are very happy. Hope this helps. I also know Al Noor on Airport Road has a dental clinic might be worth trying that too? edited by jackieq513 on 06/02/2014
